Accelerated Reading Requirements
7th grade: 25 points (Pre-AP 30)
8th grade: 25 points (Pre-AP 30)
9th grade: 30 points (Pre-AP 35)
10th grade: 35 points (Pre-AP 40)
11th grade: 40 points (AP Lang 50)
12th grade: 45 points (AP Lit 50)
*This is per nine weeks. Extra credit will be given. For every extra ten AR points earned, one point will be added to the student’s nine weeks AR quiz grade up to 10 points or one letter grade.
Parents: This is a large part of your child's grade in English class. Teachers give the students time to read, and the library has extended hours for students to check out books and take tests over the books they have read. PLEASE, encourage your child to read.
